About the OSF Potato Project
As you know, we’re big fans of growing potatoes! The aim of the OSF Potato Project is to:
- Record all the different potato varieties growing here in the NE of Scotland
- Create a map showing this
- Establish which varieties grow best in our local area

- which varieties you’re growing in 2022, especially ones you didn’t get from OSF
- the first half of your postcode for example AB34

- Ideally we’d also like you to join the OSF Growing Together Facebook group to let us know how your season is going.
Tattie Testers
As part of the Potato Project, we have a limited number of special varieties that we are looking for experienced growers to test.
If you are an experienced Potato Grower, would you like to be an OSF Tattie Tester? We will give you 6 tubers of a variety of our choosing for you to plant, you just need to let us know how well the crop is growing. To apply to become an OSF Tattie Tester send us an email to oneseedforward@gmail.com
You must be able to collect these from us in Aberdeen or at one of our Tattie Days.
