A History of Community Gardening in Aberdeen

On Friday 3rd September 2021, ahead of the start of the Community Garden Fesitval in Aberdeen, One Seed Forward’s Bob Donald gave a talk on ‘A History of Community Gardening in Aberdeen’

As well as speaking about the history, Bob also spoke about local growing spaces, volunteering opportunities, the benefits of community gardening, and local projects which One Seed Forward is involved in.

Community Garden Festival

We are delighted to be taking part in Aberdeen’s first ever Community Garden Festival on the 4-5 September 2021. You can download a copy of the Community Garden Festival programme here.

On Friday 3rd September between 7.00-8.00pm, Bob from One Seed Forward will give an online talk about the history of community gardening in Aberdeen from its origins in the 19th century to the present day.
This will also feature examples of some sites that can be visited during the Community Gardening Festival that takes place around the city during the weekend of Sept 4/5
