A Community Growing Initiative
‘Granite City Growing: Aberdeen Growing Food Together 2020’ is Aberdeen’s first food growing strategy. It has been co-produced with a range of community groups and key stakeholders.
The strategy sets out a clear vision for the future of food growing in the city. Amongst other things it seeks to ensure that everyone who wants to, has access to food-growing opportunities.
There are a number of allotments and community gardens in and around Aberdeen, where food can be grown. A map showing the locations can be found here.
Some of the allotments and community gardens have their own websites, so it’s worth checking this out for more information. To find out more about allotments in Aberdeen, or to apply for an allotment click here.
