Cara is a robust and high yielding potato that is known to be hardy and disease resistant as well as being a big cropper. Let’s hope we have ideal growing conditions this year and you will get lots out of your free seed potato! The other is a heritage variety from 1936, the Highland Burgundy Red. Said to be used to provide colour to meals for the Duke of Burgundy at the Savoy and the Ritz, this is full of antioxidants so it is healthy for you as well as eye catching.
